Momentum Project

Empowering Youth. Building Sustainable Futures.

At EmpactUs Institute, we believe that real change begins when education meets opportunity.

The Momentum Project is a four-year journey designed to empower young people through structured education, apprenticeship training, and MSME’s development, creating a bridge between learning and meaningful employment.
Each cohort of the project brings together 25 youth enrolled in EmpactUs’ structured programs and 5 supported MSME’s businesses that serve as apprenticeship hubs.

Through this integrated model, students gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and the business development mindset needed to thrive in the modern workforce.

Education & Apprenticeship Pathway

Momentum follows a progressive three-phase approach designed to guide learners
from school to professional life:

  • Mentoring & Consulting: Focused on career exploration, goal setting, and personal development through one-on-one mentorship and soft-skill training.
  • Apprenticeship + School: Combines academic learning with hands-on work experience, allowing participants to apply their skills in real-world settings.
  • Apprenticeship + University: Extends professional training alongside higher education, supporting participants in balancing academic growth with career advancement.

Empowering Small Businesses

Alongside youth development, Momentum supports MSME’s through funding, mentorship, and training, turning them into sustainable apprenticeship hubs that fuel local economies. A Vision for Sustainable Impact Over four years, the Momentum Project aims to:

  • Empower 500 youth with quality education, career skills, and leadership capacity.
  • Support 100 small and micro-businesses, creating over 1,500 new jobs.
  • Build a self-sustaining ecosystem where apprentices grow into business-owners and experts in their sectors, driving innovation, employment, and long-term development.

Momentum is more than a project, it’s a movement of empowerment and renewal,
inspiring a generation to learn, lead, and build the future they envision.

Alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  • SDG 1 (No Poverty): The project helps create economic opportunities and reduces poverty among vulnerable communities
  • SDG 4 (Quality Education): Ensuring access to high-quality education and apprenticeship training for orphaned youth.
  • SDG 5 (Gender Equality): The project actively promotes gender equality to both youth and business-owners.
  • SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth): The project fosters economic empowerment by funding small and micro-businesses and equipping youth with employable skills.
  • SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities): By prioritizing orphaned youth and struggling businesses, the project promotes equal opportunities and economic inclusion.
  • SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): Collaboration with local and international partners strengthens the project ‘s reach and sustainability.
